My friend and I have been using a “Netherized” version of your compact house design for the city around our castle. Thank you for the guide, it just fit perfectly :)

I thought this might serve as a nice visual aide for people to appreciate just how much more fucking space they have to build.

My house that I built on a cliff edge. There is another balcony in the back hanging over the cliff with another fire place and there is a basement for my storage and my Nether portal.

I don’t usually do modern looking stuff and usually stick to spheres, but this turned out nice. 1.8.1 with the default texture pack.
:O MY WORST NIGHTMARE: A REALITY.
NO NO NO NO NO! >:UUU
(I’m really mad they keep moving my blocks around. I just fixed up this world!)
Spent the day building my new lighthouse after rigorous research and development. I went through at least 4 different prototypes for the power generator. I constructed one that initiates upon login and does NOT need to be reset manually.
Keep your eyes out for the tutorial coming soon!
Something I’m working on in one of my worlds right now (apologies for the lack of screenshots and the empty queue, this is taking up my Minecraft time). It’s a glass sphere that will hold a huge garden in the bottom half. The surrounding part is glowstone with lapis lazuli accents, and it will decorate an iron structure around the sphere.
Texture pack here is Glimmar’s Steampunk.
